2005到葡萄牙過聖誕

終於在最後一刻把期末報告給交了出去,可以好好happy囉! 打破以往農曆年旅行的傳統,今年在紅毛國只好聖誕節出門。
這次打算到葡萄牙旅行九天,12月24出門,元旦回來,寫這段是順便跟家人報備一下。
為什麼到葡萄牙玩哩?原因有幾個,第一是因為季節的緣故,在寒冷的冬天自然得往南走,往西走最南只能到葡萄牙了,那為何不去希臘、南義、西班牙呢?那是因為這次的假期很短,考量日期的因素,葡萄牙算是大小比較適中的國家,即便如此,我們這次也只能玩個1/3的葡萄牙吧,計畫是先飛到里斯本,在附近盤桓個幾天之後,向北到大學古城Coimbra跟著名紅酒產地Porto,這張照片是flickr網友Portuguese eyes所照的Sintra的景象,也是我們的目標之一,位於里斯本西邊,附近就是歐洲大陸最西點了。
葡萄牙對我們台灣人算是比較陌生的國家,其實福爾摩沙Formosa一詞便出自於葡萄牙船員。之前看過一本貓書,到里斯本尋找一隻貓,那隻虎班貓“蛋塔“在黃牆前做日光浴的照片很是吸引我,也是驅使去旅行的原因之一。
還有自然不能忽略葡萄牙是西歐消費最便宜的國家,很符合我們貧窮旅行的精神,葡萄牙料理呢?目前還不知道,不過再差也不可能比彆腳的紅毛人差吧,班上的葡萄牙同學Nuno幫我開了一張葡萄牙必吃料理,這次如果能學得一些葡文回來,大概都是吃的吧,哈哈!
Well, about portuguese food..so much can be said, hehe! Here are some dishes
you must not loose:
Peixe (Fish)
- Arroz de Peixe / Arroz de Tamboril (Fish rice / Devil-fish rice)
- Lulas recheadas (stuffed squids)
- Peixe-espada grelhado (Grilled sword-fish)
- Bacalhau com natas (Codfish with cream) well, all codfish recipes are
good! can try also "Bacalhau a bras" and "Bacalhau assado"
- Caldeirada (several kinds of boiled fishes in tomato stuw)
Carne (Meat)
- carne porco á alentejana (pork meat with clams, one of my favorites...)
- feijoada (meat with beans, very filling dish)
- cozido á portuguesa (several kinds of meat and vegetables boiled with
potatos)
- bitoque (pork steak with fried potatoes, rice and fried egg, also a must
eat!)
Sobremesas/Doces (Desserts) the best part of the meal, hehe. All the typical
portuguese deserts have lots of eags.
- Pasteis de Belem / Pasteis de Nata (in Lisbon)
- Tijeladas (in Coimbra)
- Pudim Flan
- arroz doce
- Leite creme
- Ovos Moles
- and so on, and so on.....
There are a lot of people that still don't know English in Portugal, so you
will not allways find english speaking people in restaurants, transports,
etc.. But usually there are nice people who will make an effort to
understand you :)
